It's just Friday 70

02.07.2003

5:45 am

I took some medicine so that I could sleep with the sinus headache from hell, and I did indeed fall asleep.

The phone rang. I didn't even recognize the sound; Hubs, who had also been asleep, said "It's the phone." I thought, "Snow Day! Snow Day!" Why else would I get a phone call when it was still dark out? How much had it snowed since it started around 10 pm?

"Hello?" I said eagerly. "Hello?"

A man's voice, soft. "Hello?" Then, click.

Finally, it registered with me that this was a wrong number. I looked at the clock. It was 11 f---g thirty! Most people weren't even asleep yet, and here I was, up as a pup, except now I'm groggy because I took medication, even though I can't fall asleep again. And the headache is still there. Bad, bad Advil Sinus.

And now, the Friday Five:

1. What did you have for breakfast this morning? If you didn't have breakfast, why not?
I had a cup of coffee, which is what I usually have on any work day. I use vanilla syrup unstead of sugar in my coffee.

2. What's your favorite cereal?
Currently it's Lucky Charms. I like cereal in general.

3. How often do you eat out? Do you want that to change?
When the girls are home from college, we eat out 2 or 3 times a week, When they're away, I eat out maybe 2 or 3 times a month.

4. What do you plan on having for dinner tonight? Got a recipe for that?
Chicken pot pie. Swanson has the recipe.

5. What's your favorite restaurant? Why?
I like the Macaroni Grill and Houlihans, and a local place called Rivera's. I like the food, I guess.
