Coffee, Tea, or Bad Music? 445 |

It's not that the Coffee House last night didn't go well -- it did -- but the music just wasn't up to par. There was one kid who sang and played the guitar and was sooooo bad that I couldn't even tell he was singing "Yesterday" until more than halfway through, and a teacher sat beside him and held up the words on a piece of paper and coached him on what chords to play. The thing is, he's in the school rock band (an interesting activity, more at another time) and he was just awful. Glad I'm not going to their annual show in a couple of weeks. Both of my nephews were in the band in their day, as singers though, not musicians, so I've seen good shows. This year does not look promising. |
