Seriously, both of the light bulbs are out in our refrigerator and we can't seem to change them. I mean, we've changed them, but they still don't work. It's probably the wiring inside the refrigerator that blew the bulbs, but still. I had to call Maytag to send a repairman (yes, he's finally got something to do) to come and change a light bulb. I bet everybody at Maytag's getting a good hearty laugh at that one.
As are Hubs and I, actually, but it's amazing how disorienting such a little thing can be. Open the refrigerator, it's dark. It's just not right.
What on earth ever made someone think of putting a light in there, anyway? I can understand that someone thought once, hey, if we refrigerated our food, bacteria wouldn't grow and we wouldn't all die of food poisoning. That's a logical step in the evolution of human thought. Who holds the patent on the light inside the refrigerator? What kind of leap of logic was that?
