What Kind of Fool Am I? 412

I am the kind of fool who goes to the post office on April 14 when I've already sent in our tax return months ago so there was no real reason to be there. Except to send off a few CDs, DVDs to the kid overseas.

On Sunday at the ILS, the FIL asked about my boss, The Psycho, whom he did not hire when he was in charge of my school system, thank you, but he knows her, and someone asked if she's scarier when she's being horrible or when she's being nice. Good question.

Yesterday and today she's been something like Don Corleone at the wedding of his only daughter. Granting favors right and left. Today she agreed to let us adjust our hours in the library so that we're not violating our own contract; we've been working on asking her for months. Then she agreed to let the GSA have its next Coffee House on a date she'd previously refused to let us have. She's been similarly pleasant to others on the staff, too. I saw her dancing a few steps in front of one of the secretary's desks. She's also hit up just about everyone to buy a $10 raffle ticket from her for the PTA Scholarship Fund. As you can imagine, no one -- even the notoriously cheap SCM -- turns her down.

So the answer is that she's scarier when she's happy. Mean is so much more predictable; you know what to expect. This way, she could turn at any minute.
