So He Says 1257

"You can ask myself or anyone else ..."

Excuse me ... YOU CAN ASK MYSELF?

Is "me" a four letter word now? Why are people such pussies about using the word "me"? It's a perfectly acceptable word when used correctly, but somehow people have been bulliedd into believing that if they say "me", they will sound ignorant. If you ask me, people avoiding the word at all costs sounds pretty damn ignorant. Here's the rule: Use "I" if you are the subject of the sentence, the one performing the action. "I asked ..." Use "me" if you are the object of the sentence, which is to say, the receiver of the action. "You can ask me ..."

And more than one medium? It's media, not mediums. As in, mass media. The media. You know.

The first speaker was the superintendent of schools. The second was the vice-principal.

Any more questions about today's faculty meeting?
