How many librarians does it take ...? 94

The answer, apparently, is zero. It takes zero librarians to change a lightbulb, because they are incapable of doing it. At least I am.

In my own defense, I really am a techno-geek sort of person. I have installed cards in computers, I run websites, I have set up ethernet hard-wired networks. I am generally good at all this stuff, and so, when he cares to do so, is Hubs.

So when two Maytag repairmen came to my house this morning to repair the non-lighting refrigerator, I was sure they would have to replace the wiring or the fuses or the some complicated internal electrical thing that was keeping the lights from coming on. The first thing the guy asked me for was a spare bulb, which I handed him. He screwed it in. The light came on. He said,

"You have to screw it in all the way."

He put in the second bulb. He screwed it in all the way. It lit up.

Thought you'd be amused.
