Update 144

05.19.2003

9:04 pm

A run-down of my life since I wrote my last entry:

  1. I am now the mother of a college graduate.
  2. I did not make a scene with my in-laws or do anything to make the day unpleasant for R. They didn't bring up anything at all, even the birthday party I won't go to.
  3. Hubs did indeed go off on a mini-rant, insane-wise, in the restaurant. It was brief, but totally annoying and pointless just the same.
  4. I did give the tour of the high school for alumni, class of '63, on Saturday, which was actually a lot of fun, other than having to talk for an hour and a half. They were rowdy and having a good time, and it was all pretty silly.
So that's it in a nutshell. The long story of Graduation Day -- and brother, was it long -- will follow in the next few days, I think, with pictures. These are not pictures of me and mine, oh no. These are pictures of all the idiots who surrounded us in the audience of a thousand or so who didn't know how to behave in public. Just call me Andy Rooney.
