Must Go Faster 758

05.17.2005

8:43 pm

The day seems to have less than the specified number of hours, even though I've squeezed in a lot today. I was at Home Depot before it opened so I could get my hard hat so I could walk around the school's backyard, so to speak, and take pictures of the giant machine that looks like a dinosaur that was eating up little out-buildings and spitting them out. I'll post a picture soon, and maybe one of me in the dorky hard hat. People are lining up to get pictures of me in it.

I am sending my undying love and gratitude to Welsh Dan, who did indeed send us last week's Lost and we just watched it before Gilmore Girls, so I'm over-televisioned at the moment, but caught up. I'm not as tired today as I have been, so that's good, but I'm still sort of spinning my wheels, feeling always busy but like I'm not really making any progress.

Except with my weight. Yes, that's right, I'm gaining weight like it's my job, five or six pounds in the last three weeks, during which time I've had either diverticulitis or IBS, so I must be setting some kind of record, like eating my weight in cheese doodles every few hours. Or maybe it's the root beer. Either way, I'd like not to keep blimping up, but I may take some time off of the W8 Watching, at least until after the Niece's wedding, which is June 5. How much weight can I gain by then? (Hopefully not the full 20 pounds I lost last year.) Aw, nuts. I'm having an orange cupcake.
