But first, Diane, can you send me your password? I promise I'll check my dland email -- the email link on my page -- for the next few days.Okay. This morning I saw that the esteemed governor of Florida had declared a state of ememergency to be in effect for today and for 72 hours following the storm. So there you go. Flying into a place like that is just stupid. So I went over to the Sibs' house when she woke up and we cancelled everything, and called my cousin, who insisted that it will all be fine and we should come. Yes, well. I'm sure it will be fine by Saturday, when the Bar Mitzvah is, but we were flying in on Thursday. And now we're not. Case closed.
Of course, yutz that I am, I now have all that unpacking to do.
And since we're not going to the big outlet mall down there, the Sibs and I will go to one of the outlet malls near here on Thursday.
In other news, R's mono test was negative, which is wonderful news. Just a run-of-the-mill virus after all. Let's hope it stops there.
What else is there? It's certainly raining here today, and plenty of it, but it's supposed to clear up by tomorrow afternoon, I think. I am starting to think a little bit about work; I have to put together my remarks for the staff on the first day of school -- I'm the last one on the agenda -- and for the freshmen on their first day. I also have the file of freshmen data (names, addresses, etc.) that I have to get into the right format for their I.D. cards. I updated the library website page last night, although all I had to do at this point was correct a few things. K and I have to go to the supermarket later, when she gets home from work, and I have a few shirts to iron. Oh, right. And unpack. Uh huh.
